At 17.0 feet, Minor flooding expected with the boat ramps at Evadale possibly becoming inaccessible. Galveston Bay. * Until 315 AM CDT. * At 248 AM CDT, strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts of 34 knots or greater and possible waterspouts were located over Upper San Jacinto Bay, or 12 nm northwest of Galveston Bay, moving northeast at 30 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Upper San Jacinto Bay, Mitchell Bay, Scott Bay, Black Duck Bay, Tabbs Bay, Crystal Bay, Burnet Bay, Trinity Bay, and northern Galveston Bay.

The river will fall to 10.0 feet this morning. It will then rise above flood stage late this afternoon to 22.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will fall to 22.3 feet tomorrow morning. It will then rise to 26.7 feet tomorrow evening. It will fall below flood stage Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - Flood History.
