From 5 PM CDT this afternoon through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches in a short time are possible. With soils saturated from previous rainfall, this will lead to an increased risk of flash flooding.

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri. Chariton River at Novinger affecting Schuyler, Putnam, Macon and Adair Counties. For the Chariton River. including Novinger, Prairie Hill. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Chariton River at Novinger. * WHEN. Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS. At 20.0 feet, Farm fields along the river begin to flood. At 23.0 feet, Moderate flooding of farmland occurs. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 6:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 21.3 feet this afternoon. Portions of north central and northeast Missouri, including the following counties, in north central Missouri, Carroll, Chariton, Linn, Livingston and Macon. In northeast Missouri, Adair. * WHEN. Until 915 AM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 119 AM CDT, The transportation department reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms has caused several road closures across the warmed area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 1.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
