At 901 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Franklin, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Morgan City, Franklin, Patterson, Berwick, Bayou Vista, Stephensville, Burns Point, Baldwin, Ellerslie, Patterson Memorial Airport, Amelia, Bayou Geneve, Charenton, and Centerville.

SMWLCH The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Atchafalaya and East Cote Blanche Bays. Coastal waters from Intracoastal City to Cameron LA out 20 NM. Coastal waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA out 20 NM. Vermilion and West Cote Blanche Bays. * Until 930 AM CDT. * At 827 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Vermilion Bay, moving east at 10 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. South Marsh Island 217, South Marsh Island 239, Marsh Island, Eugene Island 24, Vermilion 31, Eugene Island 28, West Cote Blanche Bay, Eugene Island 30, Vermilion 26, Eugene Island 42, Eugene Island 53, and South Marsh Island 236.

Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Donaldsonville, Napoleonville, Oak Hills Place, St. Gabriel, Gramercy, Lutcher, White Castle, Sorrento, French Settlement, Port Vincent, Geismar, Supreme, Shenandoah, Whitehall, Old Jefferson, Paincourtville, Convent, and Prairieville. This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 164 and 197.

West Central St. Martin Parish in south central Louisiana. * Until 100 PM CDT. * At 906 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
