At 331 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Sunbury, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near. South Mills around 350 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Burnt Mills, Horseshoe, Lynchs Corner, Pierceville, Acorn Hill, Savage, Tar Corner, Sharon, Lilly, and Lambs Corner.

The areas affected include. Coastal Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia-North Carolina border out to 20 nm. Currituck Sound. At 306 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Rudee Inlet to 7 nm west of Sandbridge to 18 nm south of Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, moving east at 20 knots.
