HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph, small hail, and torrential rainfall.. SOURCE. Trained weather spotters. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Goshen, Niles, Sturgis, Coldwater, Benton Harbor, Kendallville, Angola, Bryan, St. Joseph, Hillsdale, Three Rivers, Wauseon, Dowagiac, Buchanan, Ligonier, Archbold, and Montpelier. Southwestern St. Joseph County in southwestern Michigan. * Until 930 AM EDT. * At 901 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Simonton Lake, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD. 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of southwest Michigan, including the following counties, Cass MI and St. Joseph MI. * WHEN. Until 1045 AM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 850 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Until noon EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 821 AM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Local rain gages were indicating around 2 inches of rain has fallen in South Haven area. Locally an additional inch of rain could fall by 10 am. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
