The areas affected include. Nearshore Waters from Calumet Harbor to Michigan City. Open Waters from Wilmette Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid Lake. At 551 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located near Indiana Harbor, moving east at 15 to 20 knots. Locations impacted include. Indiana Harbor, Calumet Harbor, Michigan City, Burns Harbor, Marina Shores at Dune Harbor, and Hammond Marina.

At 535 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near South Haven, or near Valparaiso, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. La Porte, Westville, Knox, North Judson, Kingsford Heights, Wanatah, Hamlet, La Crosse, Hanna, Kingsbury, Lomax, Pinhook, English Lake, Salem Heights, Fish Lake, Otis, Brems, Stillwell, Winona, and San Pierre. This includes Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 38 and 40.
