At 432 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Garysville to near Claremont. Movement was north at 10 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near. Claremont, Garysville, Burrowsville, and Rustic around 440 PM EDT. Charles City and Jordans Point around 500 PM EDT. Holdcroft around 505 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Taylors Corner, Chickahominy Shore, Wayside, Sandybottom, Brandon, Barnetts, Roaches Corner, New Hope, Mount Airy, and Jordan Point Country Club.

FFWAKQ The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. York County in southeastern Virginia. The City of Hampton in southeastern Virginia. The Southern City of Newport News in southeastern Virginia. * Until 730 PM EDT. * At 429 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
