Strong thunderstorms will be near. Claremont, Garysville, Burrowsville, and Rustic around 440 PM EDT. Charles City and Jordans Point around 500 PM EDT. Holdcroft around 505 PM EDT. The Southern City of Newport News in southeastern Virginia. * Until 730 PM EDT. * At 429 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT.
