Patchy dense fog will persist through daybreak this morning over portions of western New York, including parts of the Buffalo Metro and in the valleys of the Southern Tier. The fog will dissipate by mid morning. If traveling, prepare for patches of dense fog that will rapidly lower visibility down to less than one-half mile at times. If you encounter the fog, use the low-beam setting on headlights.
