Pavement temperatures this morning are in the 20s. Air temperatures are near to slightly below the freezing mark which sets the stage for the potential for black ice. Air temperatures will warm this morning and rise above freezing area wide by 900 AM. Through 900 AM however be prepared to encounter some slick spots on area roadways. Bridges and overpasses have the potential to freeze up first. Use some caution on this morning's commute.

Slick roads are possible this morning due to a combination of fog, below freezing pavement temperatures, and near freezing air temperatures. While air temperatures will gradually rise over the next few hours, black ice will remain possible on area roadways through 900 AM. Bridges and overpasses will be more prone to slick spots as they will remain colder than ground level roadways. Use caution during the morning commute.
