* WHAT. High wave action, strong currents, and dangerous swimming conditions expected. Piers may be heavily swamped by waves. * WHERE. Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren counties. * WHEN. Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS. Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water and high waves can sweep people off piers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Winds from the north or northwest are expected to strengthen this afternoon between Muskegon and Holland. A moderate swim risk is expected during the middle part of the day, but could become a high swim risk later in the day as waves grow larger. North sides of north piers will be particularly dangerous for swimmers.
