At 347 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Jacumba, moving north at 30 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Ponding of water could occur along Interstate 8 between Pine Valley and Boulevard as well as Highway 94 near Jacumba as heavy rains will affect these areas. Locations impacted include. I-8 Between Pine Valley And Boulevard, I-8 Between Boulevard And Imperial County Line, Hwy S2 Between Canebrake And Imperial County Line, Boulevard, Hwy S2 Vallecito Creek Rd, Pine Valley, Campo, La Posta Indian Reservation, Tierra Del Sol, Campo Indian Reservation, Live Oak Springs, Jacumba, and Manzanita Indian Reservation.

* WHAT. Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 108 to 115. Low temperatures only falling to the 80s. * WHERE. Coachella Valley and San Diego County Deserts. * WHEN. Until 9 PM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. A prolonged period of extreme temperatures will exacerbate impacts from the heat. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Highs on Sunday will fall a few degrees compared to Saturday to 108 to around 110 degrees, but increased moisture will result in muggy conditions.
