FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH 6 AM HST SUNDAY FOR KAUAI COUNTY. . FLOOD WATCH FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IS CANCELLED. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Niihau and Kauai. * WHEN. Through 6 AM HST Sunday. * IMPACTS. Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A band of moderate to heavy showers associated with a kona low north of the islands will slowly move over Kauai County beginning this evening. As this band slowly moves westward through late Saturday night, the threat for flash flooding for the islands of Niihau and Kauai will persist.

Through late tonight. * IMPACTS. Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A band of moderate to heavy showers associated with a kona low northwest of the islands will slowly move over Kauai County. As this band slowly moves eastward through tonight, the threat for flash flooding for the islands of Niihau and Kauai will persist.
