In Virginia, Westmoreland and Northumberland Counties. * WHEN. From 8 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Shallow flooding is expected in vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

* WHAT. Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE. Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties. * WHEN. Until 3 AM EDT Saturday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS. At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island and docks near Dahlgren. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 12:02 AM and 12:14 PM. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 5:07 AM and 5:26 PM. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 1:13 AM and 1:32 PM.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of central and south central Virginia, including the following areas, in central Virginia, Amelia, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Prince Edward and Western Louisa. In south central Virginia, Lunenburg and Nottoway. * WHEN. Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A slow-moving system will bring widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms to the area from this evening into early Saturday morning. Rainfall totals of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
