At 812 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Fort Eustis, or 7 miles southeast of Surry, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near. Newport News and Fort Eustis around 820 PM EDT. Lee Hall around 825 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Rushmere, Lackey, Chippokes State Park, Water Country U.S.A., Oriana, Bacons Castle, Dare, Newport News Golf Course, Poolesville, and Moonlight.

Chesapeake Bay from Windmill Point to New Point Comfort VA. * Until 830 PM EDT. * At 736 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm northwest of Urbanna Inlet to White Stone Bridge, moving east northeast at 30 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Stingray Point, Windmill Point, Occohannock Reef, Rappahannock Range Light, Rappahannock Light, Nandua Pungoteague Reef, Longs Creek Inlet, San Marcos Wreck, Tangier Island, and Northern Neck Reef.
