At 319 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles northwest of Cynthiana to 11 miles northeast of Frankfort to near Lawrenceburg. Movement was east at 60 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Lexington, Georgetown, Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, Versailles, Paris, Cynthiana, Cardinal Hill, Cadentown, and Bryan Station.

Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, in east central Kentucky, Bath, Elliott, Estill, Fleming, Menifee, Montgomery, Powell and Rowan. In northeast Kentucky, Johnson and Martin. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe. * WHEN. Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings would be the first to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected through Wednesday night. This may lead to instances of flooding across the area as well as significant rises on area rivers.
