Fog has become dense along the higher elevations of the Blue Ridge from Floyd, Virginia to the North Carolina mountains. Visibilities are less than a quarter mile along portions of I-77 between Hillsville and the North Carolina border and along the Blue Ridge Parkway from Meadows of Dan to Blowing Rock, as well as other higher elevation roads. Those traveling will need to prepare for this and allot more time to get to your destination. Slow down and use low beams during fog.
