SMWTBW The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM. Tampa Bay waters. * Until noon EDT. * At 1123 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Sunshine Skyway Bridge, moving east at 15 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, damage vessels, and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. * Locations impacted include. At 1058 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Hernando County Airport to 14 miles northwest of Harbor Bluffs to 32 miles southwest of Bay Pines. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. Tampa, Spring Hill, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Temple Terrace, Seminole, New Port Richey, Zephyrhills, Brooksville, Inverness, Wildwood, Dade City, Bushnell, Downtown Saint Petersburg, Hudson, Fort Desoto Park, Holiday, Homosassa Springs, and Saint Petersburg.
