Portions of central, north central, northeast, northwest, south central, southwest, and west central Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa, Boone, Dallas, Grundy, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story, Tama and Webster. In north central Iowa, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth and Wright. In northeast Iowa, Black Hawk and Bremer. In northwest Iowa, Emmet, Palo Alto and Pocahontas. In south central Iowa, Madison, Mahaska, Marion and Warren. In southwest Iowa, Adair and Cass. In west central Iowa, Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Crawford, Greene, Guthrie and Sac. * WHEN. Through this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - 3 to 5 inches of rain have already fallen over portions of northern and north central Iowa. Slow moving storms with efficient rainfall rates will continue through the early morning hours, and could impact the morning commute.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of north central Iowa, including the following counties, Hancock, Kossuth and Winnebago. * WHEN. Until 645 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 509 AM CDT, Local law enforcement reported water over several roads near Wesley and Algona due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Algona, Forest City, Britt, Union Slogh, Eagle Lake, West Bend, Burt, Whittemore, Titonka, Wesley, Leland, Crystal Lake, Woden, Duncan, Miller, Hayfield, St. Benedict, Irvington, Sexton and Hutchins.
