Heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours has led to extensive areal flooding across the warned area. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE. A portion of north central Iowa, including the following counties, Hancock, Kossuth and Winnebago. * WHEN. Until 1000 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 644 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Several inches of rain have fallen. - Little additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Algona, Forest City, Britt, Union Slogh, Eagle Lake, West Bend, Burt, Whittemore, Titonka, Wesley, Leland, Crystal Lake, Woden, Duncan, Miller, Hayfield, St. Benedict, Irvington, Sexton and Hutchins.
