Relative humidity values are expected to drop between 20 to 25 percent this afternoon due to clear skies and efficient mixing within the boundary layer. Winds will be the limiting factor sustained at 5- 10 mph gusting to 15-20 mph out of the southwest. The low relative humidity could result in quick ignition of fires, however the light winds should keep conditions from reaching Red Flag criteria. Check with your county or the DNR to see if there are any burn restrictions in place before starting fires. For more information on burning restrictions, consult www.dnr.state.mn.us/forestry/fire/firerating_restrictions.html.
