Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting Clay, Cherokee, Buena Vista and O'Brien Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Little Sioux River at Linn Grove. * WHEN. From Thursday morning to early Monday morning. * IMPACTS. At 18.5 feet, the city park in Sioux Rapids is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 18.8 feet Friday morning. The magnitude of this rise will ultimately be determined by any additional rainfall that falls this afternoon. Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County. Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Little Sioux River at Spencer. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 14.0 feet, city sewers in Spencer can begin to back up. Highway 18 between Spencer and Dickens can start flooding if flows on the tributary creeks are also very high. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 5:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.4 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 12.4 feet. - Forecast.
