Mermentau River Near Mermentau Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued Tuesday afternoon at 200 PM CDT. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Mermentau River near Mermentau. * WHEN. From Thursday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 4.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding near the river will occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 2.8 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Thursday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 4.5 feet Friday evening. - Flood stage is 4.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
