At 225 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Mittie, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Oakdale, Oberlin, Mittie, Grant, Allen Parish Airport, Harmony, Beaver, and Bond.

Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following parishes, Central Tangipahoa, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Eastern Ascension, Iberville, Lower Tangipahoa, Northern Livingston, Northern St. Tammany, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, Southeast St. Tammany, Southern Livingston, Southwestern St. Tammany, St. Helena, Washington, West Baton Rouge, West Feliciana and Western Ascension and southern Mississippi, including the following areas, Amite, Northern Hancock, Northern Harrison, Northern Jackson, Pearl River, Pike, Southern Hancock, Southern Harrison, Southern Jackson, Walthall and Wilkinson. * WHEN. From 7 PM CDT this evening through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Portions of central and southwest Louisiana, including the following parishes, in central Louisiana, Avoyelles, Evangeline and Rapides. In southwest Louisiana, Allen. * WHEN. Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop and move east across the region this afternoon and evening, then again on Monday. Heavy rainfall can be expected in some of the storms with average totals between 2 and 4 inches. Training of storms could lead to isolated higher totals of at least 6 inches or more. This rainfall is expected across areas remain saturated from previous rains over the 1 to 2 weeks, and additional rainfall will likely runoff, creating a potential flood threat. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
