Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Lafayette, Northern Acadia, Northern Calcasieu, Northern Jefferson Davis, Southern Acadia, Southern Calcasieu, Southern Jefferson Davis, St. Landry, Upper Iberia, Upper St. Martin and Upper Vermilion and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Lower Jefferson, Northern Orange, Southern Orange and Upper Jefferson. * WHEN. Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the region again today into tonight. Portions of the area received 2 to 4 inches of rainfall Sunday, and an additional 1 to 3 inches is expected today, along with localized higher amounts. The next statement will be issued Tuesday morning at 1045 AM CDT. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Mermentau River near Mermentau. * WHEN. From Tuesday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 4.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding near the river will occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 3.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to 4.5 feet Friday evening. At 16.0 feet, Minor flooding begins along the bayou with a few structures right along the bayou threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 11.9 feet. - Forecast.
