The National Weather Service in Wakefield VA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Virginia. Nottoway River At Rawlings affecting Dinwiddie and Brunswick Counties. For the Chowan Basin. including Rawlings, Stony Creek, Sebrell, Lawrenceville, Emporia, Franklin. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Nottoway River at Rawlings. * WHEN. From this evening to early Friday morning. * IMPACTS. At 12.0 feet, Water begins to flow across Harpers Bridge Road about an 1/8 of a mile north of the river. Farm land north of river along Beaver Pond Creek also floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:50 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 7.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 11.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History.
