Fog is currently developing across parts of the forecast area tonight due to the combination of clearing skies, calm winds, and residual low-level moisture. Fog is expected to expand into the overnight hours and become locally dense, especially in valley locations. Expect visibility to drop as low as one quarter of a mile at times. If traveling tonight or the early Wednesday morning hours, use caution; slow down and use low beam headlights. The fog will gradually lift and clear by Wednesday morning.

Dense fog is currently developing and will continue to develop overnight into the morning, especially as cloud cover clears and winds decrease. Visibilities of a quarter of a mile or less will be likely, especially along the river valleys. A dense fog advisory may be needed later if conditions worsen and become more widespread. Fog will gradually lift out after sunrise Wednesday morning. Fog, with visibility below a half mile at times, will require lower speeds, and greater distances between vehicles. Do not assume the road ahead is unobstructed. Slow down, use low beam headlights, and allow more time to reach your destination safely.

The combination of clearing skies, light winds and lingering low- level moisture is allowing fog to develop and become locally dense late tonight. This fog will continue to expand through the rest of the night, but will likely end up densest in the valleys. Visibilities will drop below one quarter of a mile at times in the thickest fog. If traveling tonight, be sure to slow down and use low beam headlights when encountering fog. The fog should gradually lift and clear out Wednesday morning.
