Southwestern Bladen County in southeastern North Carolina. Northwestern Columbus County in southeastern North Carolina. * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 439 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Fairmont, or 9 miles southwest of Lumberton, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD. 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. * This severe thunderstorm will be near. Boardman around 445 PM EDT. Elkton around 520 PM EDT. Emerson around 525 PM EDT. Council around 535 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Orrum, Clarkton, and Proctorville.

At 12.0 feet, several dirt logging roads are impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 830 AM EDT Friday, the stage was 7.8 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late Saturday morning and continue rising to 13.5 feet Wednesday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
