SMWILM The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20 nm. Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 nm. Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm. Waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm. Waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm. Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm. * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 518 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing wind gusts of 34 knots or greater and waterspouts was located near Jungle, moving northeast at 30 knots. Additional storms are also occurring over the warned area. HAZARD. Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include.
