SMWILM The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Special Marine Warning for. Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20 nm. Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 nm. Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm. Waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm. Waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm. Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm. * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 518 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing wind gusts of 34 knots or greater and waterspouts was located near Jungle, moving northeast at 30 knots. Additional storms are also occurring over the warned area. HAZARD. Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Wreck 33, Johnny Mercer Pier, Masonboro Sea Buoy, Frying Pan Shoals Buoy, Harris Reef, City Of Houston, 10 Mile Rocks, Gary Ennis Reef, Sheepshead Rock, Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower, Buoy Off Carolina Beach, Rich Inlet, Figure Eight Island, Wr2, Wr4, Cape Fear Knuckle Buoy, 5 Mile Boxcars, Sunset Mid Shelf Buoy, 10 Mile Boxcars, and Liberty Ship.

At 649 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts of 34 knots or greater and waterspouts was located over Frying Pan Shoals Buoy, moving north at 25 knots.
