At 229 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Johnston, or 15 miles west of Batesburg-Leesville, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Lexington, Batesburg-Leesville, Red Bank, Johnston, Ridge Spring, Saluda County Airport, Pelion, Gilbert, Summit, Monetta, Ward, Strom Thurmond High School, South Shore Marina, Oswald Park, Bundrick Island, Murray, Camp Kinard, Hollow Creek Public Park, Samaria Fire Station, and Cedar Pond Campground. This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 32 and 56.
