Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. Arkansas River near Muskogee. * WHEN. From this afternoon to early Friday morning. * IMPACTS. At 27.0 feet, no flooding occurs but low lying agricultural areas may be threatened. Continue to monitor later forecasts. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 2:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 27.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.1 feet this evening and remain near 27.0 feet through day Thursday. - Action stage is 27.0 feet. - Flood stage is 28.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

The river is cresting or nearing a crest and is expected to begin falling tonight.
