Waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City NC from 20 to 40 nm. * Until 1015 PM EDT. * At 923 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 nm southwest of Big Ten Fathom to 19 nm southeast of Ar355, moving southeast at 30 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 nm. Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm. Waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 40 nm. * Until 1000 PM EDT. * At 906 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts over 40 knots, small hail, and waterspouts were located along a line extending from Lockwood Folly Inlet Sea Buoy to near buoy A R 445, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD. Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Raritan Wreck, Lockwood Folly Inlet Sea Buoy, A R 445, Cape Fear Sea Buoy, Cape Fear Knuckle Buoy, Mount Dirfy's Wreck, Caswell Beach, and Bald Head Island.
