At 820 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from south of Lake Waccamaw to Conway. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include. North Myrtle Beach, Oak Island, Shallotte, Sunset Beach, Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Little River, Cherry Grove, Boiling Spring Lakes, Calabash, and Longwood. This includes the following highways. US Route 17 in Brunswick County between mile markers 1 and 38. SC Highway 31 between mile markers 13 and 24. SC Highway 22 between mile markers 17 and 26.

The areas affected include. Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20 nm. Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20 nm. At 817 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located along a line extending from 13 nm north of Sunset Beach to 8 nm northwest of Murrells Inlet, moving east at 35 knots. The gust front will be near. Springmaid Pier around 825 PM EDT. Myrtle Beach Rock, Little River Entrance, Little River Sea Buoy, and Cherry Grove Inlet around 830 PM EDT. Little River Reef and Paradise Reef around 835 PM EDT. Shallotte River Inlet Sea Buoy around 840 PM EDT. Sherman Wreck around 845 PM EDT. Little River Offshore Reef, Belky Bear, and Lockwood Folly Inlet Sea Buoy around 850 PM EDT. Jungle and Caswell Beach around 900 PM EDT. A R 445 around 905 PM EDT.
