At 1236 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of Shelby, or near Boiling Springs NC, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD. Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include. Gastonia, Shelby, Kings Mountain, Bessemer City, South Gastonia, Clover, Boiling Springs NC, Blacksburg, Grover, and Patterson Springs.

Until 345 AM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1028 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Areas in and around Little Creek, Dutchman Creek, and Beaver Creek up to their confluence with the South Yadkin River may experience minor/nuisance flooding in the near future. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
