Portions of central, south central, and west central Virginia, including the following areas, in central Virginia, Campbell. In south central Virginia, Bedford, Charlotte, Halifax and Pittsylvania. In west central Virginia, Alleghany VA and Botetourt. * WHEN. Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue through Saturday morning. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE. A portion of central North Carolina, including Durham, Franklin, Granville, Person, Vance and Warren counties. * WHEN. Until 1215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 914 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Durham, Henderson, Oxford, Creedmoor, Warrenton, Butner, Norlina, Kittrell, Stem, Stovall, Middleburg, Dabney, South Henderson, Berea, Gillburg, Tungsten, Steele Creek Marina & Campground, Satterwhite Point Marina, Lake Butner and Bullocksville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
