Pawcatuck River At Westerly affecting New London and Washington Counties. Wood River At Hope Valley affecting Washington County. For the Pawcatuck River. including Wood River Junction, Westerly. Minor flooding is forecast. For the Wood River. including Hope Valley. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Pawcatuck River at Wood River Junction. * WHEN. From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 6.0 feet, Floodwaters enter into lowest lying structures near Burdickville Road. Floodwaters force closure of Driftwood Drive in Charlestown, and inundate the Jay Cronan River Access Point on Route 91. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 3.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 7.3 feet tomorrow evening.
