Coastal and outer waters from Sandy Hook to Manasquan Inlet NJ. * Until 900 AM EDT. * At 800 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Sandy Hook to Sea Bright to Belmar, moving east at 50 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. Sea Girt Reef, Shark River Reef, Point Pleasant Beach, Belmar, Atlantic Highlands, Manasquan Inlet, Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright, Sandy Hook Reef, and Fair Haven.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include. Islip, Brentwood, Levittown, Freeport, Valley Stream, Commack, Riverhead, Long Beach, Huntington Station, Centereach, Shirley, Deer Park, Lindenhurst, Plainview, and Medford.

The strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

At 815 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots, small hail, and lightning. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Long Neck Point to near Oyster Bay Harbor to near Entrance to New York Harbor, moving east at 45 knots.
