FFWSGF The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Northwestern Howell County in south central Missouri. Texas County in south central Missouri. Douglas County in southwestern Missouri. Northwestern Ozark County in southwestern Missouri. Eastern Taney County in southwestern Missouri. Southeastern Wright County in southwestern Missouri. * Until 915 AM CDT Monday. * At 1213 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Mountain Grove, Ava, Forsyth, Willow Springs, Houston, Cabool, Mansfield, Norwood, Summersville, Taneyville, Raymondville, Kissee Mills, Wasola, Vanzant, Drury, Gentryville, Brushyknob, Rockbridge, Brixey, Dora, Squires, Noble, Willhoit, Bendavis, Thornfield, Elk Creek, Simmons, Rome, Goodhope, Solo, Dogwood, Bucyrus, Long Run, Clear Springs, Brownbranch, Yukon, Bradleyville, Eunice, Arroll and Rueter. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 344 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain has caused the James and Finley river basins to increase. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings.
