The combination of clearing skies, light wind and moist ground from Tuesday's rain has created areas of dense fog throughout the valleys of Central Pennsylvania, including the Laurel Highlands and the Central and West Branch portions of the Susquehanna Valley. Visibility could be reduced to just a few hundred feet in some places. Use caution and allow for extra travel time for your morning commute to work or school. Use the low beams of your headlights for the best visibility if you encounter areas of dense fog. Keep plenty of braking distance between you and the vehicle ahead.
