Portions of Virginia, including the following areas, Albemarle, Augusta, Central Virginia Blue Ridge, Culpeper, Eastern Highland, Greene, Madison, Nelson, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, Orange, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Warren and Western Highland and eastern West Virginia, including the following areas, Eastern Grant, Eastern Pendleton, Hardy, Western Grant and Western Pendleton. * WHEN. Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Repetitive rounds of slow moving showers and thunderstorms are expected overnight. FFWLWX The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Central Mineral County in eastern West Virginia. * Until 600 AM EDT. * At 133 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE. Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
