A period of moderate to heavy rain is expected through Friday as low pressure moves up the coast. The rain will fall on a primed snowpack leading to significant melt. The combination of rain and snowmelt will increase flows in rivers and streams, some of which could reach critical levels. * WHAT. Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of south central, southwest, west central, and western Maine, including the following areas, in Maine, Central Interior Cumberland. In south central Maine, Coastal Waldo, Interior Waldo, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc and Southern Somerset. In southwest Maine, Androscoggin and Coastal Cumberland. In west central Maine, Central Somerset. In western Maine, Interior Cumberland Highlands, Southern Franklin and Southern Oxford. * WHEN. Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Storm total rainfall of 2 to 3 inches will combine with up to 1.75" of snowmelt to cause urban and low lying flooding of poor drainage areas. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 731 PM EDT, the public reported minor road flooding in the advisory area due to heavy rainfall. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in this area with more expected through the overnight hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include.
