The National Weather Service in New Orleans LA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Louisiana. Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting Pointe Coupee, West Feliciana and East Baton Rouge Parishes. For the Lower Mississippi River. including Red River Landing. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Mississippi River at Red River Landing. * WHEN. From late Friday night to Tuesday, April 30. * IMPACTS. At 48.0 feet, Access roads will be inundated and evacuation of all river islands must be complete. Protection of people and property in the river bottom land on the river side of the levees must be complete. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 46.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday morning to a crest of 48.5 feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, April 30. - Flood stage is 48.0 feet. - Flood History. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday morning and continue rising to a crest of 48.5 feet early Monday morning and hold through the middle of next week. - Flood stage is 48.0 feet. - Flood History.
