* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Evangeline, Rapides and Vernon and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Hardin, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton and Tyler. * WHEN. Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop and move east across the region this afternoon and evening, then again on Monday. Heavy rainfall can be expected in some of the storms with average totals between 2 and 4 inches. Training of storms could lead to isolated higher totals of at least 6 inches or more. From 7 PM CDT this evening through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Louisiana. Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting Pointe Coupee, East Baton Rouge and West Feliciana Parishes. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Mississippi River at Red River Landing. * WHEN. From Wednesday morning to Friday, May 31. * IMPACTS. At 51.0 feet, All river islands along the reach from Red River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps and river bottom farm land will be under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 46.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage Wednesday morning to a crest of 51.0 feet Tuesday, May 21. It will then begin to fall. - Flood stage is 48.0 feet. - Flood History.
