Waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA from 20 to 60 NM. * Until 1030 AM CDT. * At 929 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near West Cameron Wc284, or 56 nm east of High Island A131, moving southeast at 50 knots. HAZARD. Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include. At 16.0 feet, Minor flooding begins along the bayou with a few structures right along the bayou threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 5:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 1.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 17.5 feet tomorrow evening. West Central St. Martin Parish in south central Louisiana. * Until 100 PM CDT. * At 906 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include.
