Southern Lyon County in east central Kansas. * Until 915 PM CDT. * At 834 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Strong City to 4 miles south of Cottonwood Falls to 16 miles east of Burns, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD. 70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE. Radar indicated. IMPACT. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include. Emporia, Lebo, Americus, Olpe, Hartford, and Neosho Rapids. This includes the following highways. Interstate 35 between mile markers 128 and 146. Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 117 and 135.
