There have been reports of ponding of water and small creeks exceeding their banks. Additional rainfall amounts this evening are expected to be around an inch. Storms are expected to be fast moving, which will limit the flash flood threat, but ponding of water in poor drainage areas is expected. * WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of Iowa, including the following counties, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell and Winneshiek and southeast Minnesota, including the following counties, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha and Winona. * WHEN. At 12.5 feet, Backwater from the Iowa River covers portions of Business 30 and S Prospect Dr in Toledo. At 12.8 feet, Water affects portions of C Ave and D Ave from US 30 to the south. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 11.1 feet. - Forecast. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Iowa River at Marengo. * WHEN. From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 16.0 feet, Flood Stage. Water affects agricultural land along the river. Water is several feet deep in places. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 12.7 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening and continue rising to a crest of 16.2 feet early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
