Portions of Iowa, including the following counties, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell and Winneshiek and southeast Minnesota, including the following counties, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha and Winona. * WHEN. Through this evening. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will continue today. Some heavy rainfall has already occurred over parts of Dodge and Mower counties in southeast Minnesota near a stationary boundary. Additional rainfall, some heavy is forecast to occur with storms this morning as deeper moisture and a storm system approaches the area. More rain overspreads the area again this afternoon as the storm system moves through. WHAT..Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall with small hail and gusty winds to 45 to 50 mph possible. WHERE. Northern and Northeast Iowa WHEN. Through 4 AM CDT this Tuesday Morning IMPACTS. Standing and ponding water on roads and ditches can be expected. Visibilities may also be reduced during periods of heavier rainfall. PREPAREDNESS AND PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS. Motorists should be prepared for minor urban flooding and ponding water on roads. Slow down during periods of lower visibilities, and also reduce speed to lower the risk of hydroplaning if you encounter standing water on roads.

At 14.0 feet, Water affects Watters Rd. Some residential evacuations may be needed. Water also affects Ridgeway Ave at US 63 in Waterloo. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 7:45 PM CDT Monday the stage was 8.1 feet. - Forecast. Flood stage may be reached late Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
