FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI LANAI AND MAUI THROUGH FRIDAY. . FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR THE BIG ISLAND. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, and Niihau. * WHEN. Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A kona low developing to our north will bring the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms over portions of the state through at least Friday. The highest chance for excessive rainfall appears to be over Oahu and possibly parts of Maui county starting tonight, and persisting through Thursday. The focus for heavy rainfall then likely shifts toward Kauai on Friday. However, these details could change, and all areas should be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall. * WHERE. The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN. Until 1045 PM HST. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 735 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over much of Oahu. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Honolulu, Waipio, Aiea, Halawa, Moanalua, Salt Lake, Pearl City, Kalihi, Ahuimanu, Kahaluu, Waiahole, Waikane, Waikele, Iroquois Point, Waipahu, Kaneohe, Mililani, Manoa, Kunia and Maunawili.
