This swell will linger through the day Saturday, with the winds shifting back out of the east to southeast direction. * WHAT. Surf of 7 to 10 feet. * WHERE. South-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands. * WHEN. Until 6 PM HST Saturday. * IMPACTS. Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.

FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING FOR OAHU AND KAUAI COUNTY. . FLOOD WATCH FOR ALL ISLANDS IN MAUI COUNTY IS CANCELLED. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Kauai, Oahu and Niihau. * WHEN. Through this evening. * IMPACTS. Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A band of moderate to heavy showers with isolated thunderstorms will slowly move through the western islands today, increasing the threat for flash flooding through this evening. All islands in the Flood Watch area should be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding.

Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1040 AM HST, radar and rain gages indicated that rain rates have started to decrease across much of Oahu. However, stream gages remain elevated across many areas. Satellite and radar data also show another area of rain developing to the south and moving toward West Oahu. - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu.

Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 1222 PM HST, radar and rain gages indicated that rain rates have diminished across much of Oahu. However, stream gages remain elevated over portions of the windward coast, Central Oahu, and the Waianae Mountains. Additional showers remain possible this afternoon, but conditions across the area are expected to continue to improve. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Waipio, Mililani, Wahiawa, Wheeler Field, Schofield Barracks, Waikele, Kunia, Pearl City, Waipahu, Aiea, Waikane, Waiahole, Halawa, Punaluu, Kahaluu, Waialua, Hauula, Kaaawa, Haleiwa and Makakilo.
