HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES OF ALL HAWAIIAN ISLANDS UNTIL 6 PM HST FRIDAY. .Rough conditions are expected along south facing shores through Friday due to a combination of breezy onshore winds and a fresh, long-period south-southwest swell filling in. This swell will peak tonight through Friday. * WHAT. Surf of 7 to 10 feet. * WHERE. South-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands. * WHEN. Until 6 PM HST Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.

FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY FOR NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI AND LANAI. . FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR THE ISLANDS OF KAHOOLAWE AND MAUI. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Lanai. * WHEN. Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A kona low northwest of the state will bring the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms through at least Friday. The focus for excessive rainfall will be over Molokai, Lanai, and Oahu initially, then will shift farther wester to focus over Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau on Friday. All islands in the Flood Watch area should be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall. * WHERE. The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN. Until 815 PM HST. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 501 PM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain over the northwest half of Oahu. The highest rain rates were up to 1 inch per hour over the Waianae Mountains and central Oahu. Rainfall coverage is expected to spread eastward as more rainfall moves in from the south. - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu.

Rain was falling at a rate of around 1 inch per hour. Rainfall coverage is expected to increase along the south shore of Oahu from the Honolulu Airport eastward to Hawaii Kai as additional rain moves in from the south. - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu.
