FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY FOR NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI AND LANAI. . FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR THE ISLANDS OF KAHOOLAWE AND MAUI. * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Lanai. * WHEN. Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS. Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A kona low northwest of the state will bring the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms through at least Friday. The focus for excessive rainfall will be over Molokai, Lanai, and Oahu initially, then will shift farther wester to focus over Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau on Friday. All islands in the Flood Watch area should be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding.

HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES OF ALL HAWAIIAN ISLANDS UNTIL 6 PM HST SATURDAY. .Rough conditions are expected along south facing shores today due to a combination of moderate to breezy onshore winds and a long-period south-southwest swell peaking. This swell will linger through the day Saturday, with the winds shifting back out of the east to southeast direction. * WHAT. Surf of 7 to 10 feet. * WHERE. South-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands. * WHEN. Until 6 PM HST Saturday. * IMPACTS. Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.

Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - A band of moderate to heavy showers with isolated thunderstorms will slowly move through the western islands today, increasing the threat for flash flooding through this evening. All islands in the Flood Watch area should be prepared for the possibility of flash flooding.

* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE. The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN. Until 800 AM HST. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 451 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain over east Oahu, with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Additional rainfall is developing to the south and will continue to move northward into Oahu, making for a wet early morning commute. Stream levels remain elevated across the island. - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu.
